About Us

We are  a loosely organized group of riders living in Portland, Oregon.  However, we generally prefer getting out of the Portland metro area and exploring the backroads rather than riding the same tired old loops around the west hills, sauvie island, etc.  Due to a slightly unhealthy obsession with riding dirt roads, we started VeloDirt to share our best rides and organize low-key dirt endurance races.

We ride pretty much everything out there – dirt, tarmac, touring, bikepacking, fatbiking, bikerafting, etc., with a strong focus lately on bikepacking and fatbiking.   Sometimes we race, but usually just our own events.  If you want to stay up to date on our upcoming events, you can join our mailing list, or keep an eye on the Calendar.  We hope you enjoy the site and we encourage you to support our sponsors, 21st Ave Bikes and Cream of the Gods.
