Race Recap Post

Ride Info:

  • 127 Miles
  • ~60% dirt/gravel
  • ~9k elevation gain

This race includes a little bit of everything we love about riding in Oregon.  Dirt, gravel, steep technical descents, killer views of the mountains and lots-o-climbing make this one of the harder classic rides in Oregon.  For those of you who don’t mind getting off the beaten path (or pavement in this case) you’ll get to enjoy one hell of a ride.

Not sure if you’re up for riding dirt, gravel and pavement on your road bike, cross bike, touring bike, 29er, etc.?   Check out the ride up Otto Miller Road near Scappoose heading back into Portland.  Grind some of that gravel and if you like it – you’ll love this race.

Additional Details:

  • This ride is free – note it is not a race, bike event, or anything official.
  • You are welcome to ride any type of bike you want.  Consider that over half of the route is on gravel and hardpack dirt – the rest is on pavement.
  • We will provide a cue sheet and a copy of the gazetteer map outlining the route at the start of the event.
  • Feel free to email us for more information – info@velodirt.com
